Travelers on Delta, Northwest and other airlines operating under bankruptcy protection might face longer lines, delays and fuller and less frequent flights, but it’s “business as usual” at Delta AirElite, according to a spokesman.

“There will be no effect on our ability to serve our charter, membership or aircraft management customers,” the spokesman said. “We remain fully committed to meeting our customers’ travel needs and are focused on the same superior level of service they have come to expect from us for the past 21 years.”

The company, which the spokes- man described as a “profitable subsidiary of Delta Air Lines,” operates 19 managed and owned business jets based at various locations in the U.S. Delta also operates the Delta AirElite Jet Center at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. It is the only FBO at the airport and it too “will continue as a full-service FBO,” said the spokesman.

Delta is the only U.S. airline that fully owns a business jet charter and management subsidiary and an FBO.
