In a backhanded way, Airbus almost broke its two-year silence about the number of Airbus Corporate Jetliners it has delivered. The European OEM expects to deliver eight aircraft “from its ACJ family” this year, bringing “total ACJ deliveries to 30,” said a spokesman. It’s still not clear, however, how many will be true ACJs, because the eight deliveries will also include “long-range variants of the A319 twinjet that have been adapted for corporate or government applications.” The next two aircraft to be delivered are a pair of A319 Executive models for the new Al Khayala scheduled premium-class services operated by Saudi Arabia’s National Air Services. The two aircraft are now in the final stages of completion by France’s EADS Sogerma Services.
