The Flying Group is laying plans to add a new Falcon 900DX to its managed charter fleet next year, and it expects to have a Falcon 7X in its fleet in 2008. The Belgian company is opening a new hangar at its Antwerp headquarters later this year. It is also developing a new facility at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport in the south of France, where last year it acquired French charter firm Cap Camarat Business Jets.
Flying Group is expected to announce a major new FBO development at Paris Le Bourget Airport this month as part of its declared objective of becoming one of Europe’s major business aviation players. The company also has three Citation Mustangs and three CJ3s on order, all due for delivery during 2007. The company is scheduled to receive another Citation Bravo before year-end.
According to marketing director Ben Paindavin, the Flying Group achieved a mammoth 225-percent growth in charter activity during the first six months of this year, with commercial flights booked on 180 days during this period (every day but one) compared with 80 days in the first half of last year.
