Swiss manufacturer Pilatus has appointed a new factory-authorized sales and service center for the PC-12 turboprop single in southern Africa. Two former South African Air Force pilots, Tim Webster and Gerry Wyss, established the new PC-12 Centre Southern Africa. Webster has also worked in aircraft charter, management and sales, while Wyss has previously worked for Pilatus in Switzerland.
The new operation opens for business on October 1 and is located at Rand Airport near Johannesburg. Pilatus was previously represented by ExecuJet Aviation in southern Africa, but the two companies ended the relationship earlier this year because ExecuJet is now involved in marketing the new Grob SPn business jet.
