The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) staged a successful regional forum at the UK’s Farnborough Airport on September 13. The event, hosted jointly by TAG Aviation and FlightSafety International, drew more than 200 visitors and about 20 exhibitors.
The forum agenda included debates on the value of business aviation to local and national communities, charter operations, training and safety issues and the anticipated impact of very light jets in Europe. There were also product briefings by Bombardier (Challenger 605 and Learjet 60XR); Cessna (Citation Mustang, XLS and Sovereign); Honeywell; Raytheon; and Action Aviation (Sino Swearingen SJ30).
EBAA plans to hold another regional forum next year at Berlin Tempelhof Airport. The association chose that venue so the business aviation community can show its support for the historic downtown airport, which is facing the threat of closure at the end of October next year.
