CAE is relocating its Sikorsky S-76 and Gulfstream IV simulators from its SimuFlite facility in Dallas, to its new business aviation training center near Morristown, N.J. to have them closer to the high concentration of these aircraft in the Northeast. The facility, shown here in an artist’s rendition, is under construction and scheduled to be completed this fall. In addition to the S-76 and the GIV, the center will initially house simulators for the Falcon 7X, 900EX/EASy and 2000EX/EASy.

Once the center has been completed, CAE will operate a total of four major business aviation training centers around the world: SimuFlite in Dallas; the new Morristown, N.J. center; Emirates-CAE Flight Training in Dubai (which CAE operates in conjunction with Emirates Airlines); and CAE’s center in Burgess Hill, UK, which is the future site for Falcon 7X training in Europe.

The Morristown center will bring to more than 60 the number of business aircraft simulators within CAE’s global network of 100-plus units, including Boeing Business Jet and Airbus Corporate Jetliner simulators.

Recently CAE named Jim O’Connell general manager of the Morristown facility. O’Connell is a U.S. Air Force veteran and former corporate flight department manager. Since 2001 he has worked at SimuFlite in Dallas as a senior manager of training services.
