Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport will experience a major facility expansion as Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services opens a new hangar dedicated to Learjet maintenance this month. The new addition raises the company’s total usable maintenance area to approximately 64,584 sq ft and increases the center’s capacity and flexibility in servicing the rapidly growing number of Learjet, Challenger and Global customers in the region.
The new Learjet hangar has 21,528 sq ft of dedicated aircraft maintenance space, almost doubling the size of the original Learjet hangar, and is capable of accommodating six aircraft. The expansion will also include a new private customer office and reception area.
