This example of public art is currently on display in the Residentsplatz in Salzburg, Austria, as part of the city’s 200th anniversary celebrations of its favorite son: composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Created by Italian artist Paolo Pivi and titled “Upside Down Helicopter in a Public Place,” it features a full-size and complete four-ton Westland Wessex from the reserve collection of The Helicopter Museum at Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset, England. The exhibition is open until the end of this month.
