Raytheon Aircraft might make a “formal announcement later in the year” on a new or derivative business jet. A spokesman said, “We are currently looking at the market segment between the Hawker 400XP and the Hawker 850XP.” Three years ago, the company shelved plans for the Hawker 450, a midsize twinjet announced at the 2000 NBAA Convention. It was tentatively scheduled to have entered service this year and would have been the third Raytheon aircraft to feature an all-composite fuselage.
