“As of June 30, our executive jet firm order backlog stands at $1.25 billion,” Embraer chairman, president and CEO Maurício Botelho said last month. The company has logged firm orders for more than 235 Phenom 100 very light jets and Phenom 300 light jets since the duo was launched about a year ago, he said. Deliveries of the
Phenom 100 will start in mid-2008, while shipments of the light jet will begin in the second quarter of 2009. Embraer last year shipped 20 Legacy 600s versus 13 in 2004. It said it expects to deliver between 25 and 30 Legacy 600s annually this year and next. Embraer is currently planning on delivering as many as two Lineage 1000s in 2008.
