This year Gulfstream Aerospace is recognizing the 20th anniversary of its Long Beach, Calif. business jet interior completions and service facility at Daugherty Field. In March 1986, Gulfstream purchased the facility to absorb some of the aircraft interior completions work being done at its manufacturing headquarters in Savannah, Ga. The acquisition also enabled Gulfstream to expand its aircraft service and maintenance capabilities three years later.

Last year, Gulfstream’s Long Beach Service Center received approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China to provide maintenance support for Chinese-registered GIV-SPs, GIIIs and GIIs. In March, Gulfstream’s Long Beach facility received notice from an independent auditor accredited by the U.S.-based Registrar Accreditation Board that it was ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 compliant.
