MedAire has launched a new course called Basic Aviation Security Awareness Training to give aviation professionals some foundational knowledge. The program, which was announced on Tuesday at the Business Aviation Asia Forum & Expo in Singapore, is intended for companies spanning the corporate and private aircraft sectors as well as airlines.
According to MedAire, which provides travel risk management solutions as part of the International SOS group, consistent and comprehensive security training is more essential than ever due to the fast-evolving operational landscape. The new course has been developed to help professionals, including flight crew, to recognize and address security concerns effectively, and to nurture a proactive safety culture in organizations.
MedAire has been active in Southeast Asia for 40 years with a regional office in Singapore. International SOS has provided private medical support and repatriation assistance for clients throughout Asia since the 1980s, expanding activities into China, Australia, and Japan.
Today, MedAire supports 180 airlines as well as the operators of more than 4,800 business aircraft, including around three-quarters of Fortune 100 companies. Its services include aviation security intelligence, real-time health and security advice, and training and medical equipment.
