JetBlue Signs Firm Order for 40 A320neos
JetBlue signs A320neo order.
JetBlue's order for 40 A320neos raises its Airbus order count to 92.

Airbus has closed on a firm order with JetBlue for 40 A320neo narrowbodies, the European manufacturer announced today.

The order amounts to a conversion of a tentative commitment JetBlue and Airbus announced at the Paris Air Show in June. The New York-based airline, which has yet to announce its engine selection for the new airplanes, also converted pre-existing orders for 30 A320s to an order for the same number of larger A321s, equipped with wingtip devices under development by Airbus called Sharklets.

All told, JetBlue holds firm orders for 40 A320neos, 30 A321s and 22 standard A320s.
