St. George, Utah-based SkyWest placed a firm order with Bombardier last month for four CRJ700s. SkyWest plans to fly the airplanes under its Delta Connection code-share agreement in a 65-seat, dual-class configuration.
Bombardier estimates the value of the contract at $148 million, based on list prices. SkyWest Airlines and its sister airline, Atlanta-based Atlantic Southeast Airlines, now operate 406 CRJ200, CRJ700 and CRJ900 regional jets, the world’s largest fleet of CRJs.
