Former Alenia executive Carlo Logli (senior vice president of strategies and business development) replaced Alessandro Franzoni as CEO of Superjet International as part of a management shakeup that saw Franzoni move to Alenia Aermacchi to become its chief operating officer. Meanwhile, Alenia Aermacchi CEO Carmelo Cosentino replaced Amedeo Caporaletti as Superjet International’s chairman of the board.

A Superjet International spokesperson told AIN that the changes reflected parent company Finmeccanica’s practice of periodically alternating top managers within its aeronautics division. “It was a natural decision,” she said. “No hidden reasons.”

Superjet International, which is the main customer support and sales representative for the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft-built Superjet SSJ100, recently failed to secure an expected order for the new regional jets from Alitalia, whose board last month instead issued approval for management to lease a mix of 14 Embraer 170s and 190s. Sukhoi expects Russian certification for the SSJ100 this month and EASA approval in the second quarter of the year.
