Air Routing International (ARI) of Houston has introduced a new service for U.S. clients called the Domestic Flight Watch (DFW) program, designed to minimize ATC delays and reroutings by optimizing coordination between the FAA and NBAA’s General Aviation Desk at the FAA Air Traffic Control System Command Center in Virginia.

ARI is at Booth No. 2236 to describe in detail the DFW program and how it works. In brief, the service incorporates a partnership between ARI, the NBAA GA Desk and the FAA. Operators who file their own domestic flight plans and want DFW coverage can subscribe to the DFW program and submit their domestic schedules via phone, fax, e-mail, ARI Flight Manager or other scheduling software programs.

ARI submits flight schedules to the FAA and GA Desk to aid with airspace planning. Staff members monitor airspace information looking for possible schedule delays. ARI provides clients information on delays, ground stops, en route constraints and reroutes. In addition, Air Routing provides notification of departure restrictions for an operator’s departure center, a convective weather forecast, and notams, TFRs and other changes that can affect a flight.
