Cessna confirmed yesterday that it now holds purchase agreements for no less than 160 of the Citation Mustang jet that it unveiled here at NBAA on Tuesday. It has collected $10,000 deposits for the new $2.295 million light jet. The Wichita manufacturer has also now logged 150 orders for the new Citation CJ3 jet that it launched on Monday and so appears to have grabbed the lion’s share of new business announced on the first two days of this year’s show.

Separately, in a flurry of late sales activity here yesterday afternoon, Raytheon sold a Hawker Horizon, a Premier I and a Beech Bonanza piston single. This was on top of deals for three Hawker 800XPs, three Beech King Airs and a pre-owned Beech 1900C already inked here in Orlando this week.

Also on Wednesday, Pilatus sold the PC-12 (S/N 457) shown in its NBAA exhibit (Booth No. 882) to its Denver, Colo.-based dealer Aviation Sales. The aircraft, which features an interior developed by a team of BMW auto designers, is priced at around $3 million.

Finally, Bombardier yesterday confirmed an order for a Global 5000 from AIG and sold a pre-owned Learjet 31A to U.S. professional golfers Fred Funk and Jeff Sluman. Also party to the purchase is Gray Gibbs, president of Elite Air.
