Aviation Prepares for Possible Icelandic Ash Cloud
There are currently no signs of eruption, but IMO is monitoring the situation.
Scientists have detected very strong indications of ongoing magma movement at Bardarbunga volcano since August 16. Should the volcano erupt, spewing ash into the airspace, Eurocontrol is better prepared to deal with it than it was when volcano ash clouds significantly disrupted air traffic in western Europe in 2010.
