Macquarie Infrastructure subsidiary Atlantic Aviation closed its $230 million acquisition of Galaxy Aviation yesterday. The deal included six FBOs–five in Florida (four branded as Galaxy Aviation and one as Boca Aviation) and one Galaxy location in Hayden, Colo. With the acquisitions, Atlantic Aviation now has FBOs at 68 airports in the U.S. “The acquisitions of the Galaxy and Boca Aviation operations represent a significant milestone,” said Macquarie Infrastructure CEO James Hooke. “With this event, Atlantic moves from having no presence in Florida–one of the largest general aviation markets in the country–to being the second-largest FBO operator there.”
