London's Stansted Airport for Sale

A British court on July 26 upheld a 2009 regulatory ruling against the British Airport Authority (BAA), which means that the company must sell Stansted Airport (EGSS). The BAA decided to fight the forced sale in court after the 2009 decision.

The British government's Competition Commission initially demanded the sale to reduce the control BAA had on major airline and business aviation airports around the UK. Stansted, located 37 miles northeast of downtown London, is home to four business aviation FBOs.
