InspecTech Aero Service has enhanced its iShade dimmable windows. According to the company, the windows now have a neutral gray color tint appearance, greater light transmission in the clear state and more light blockage in the dark state. Light blockage is now 99.96 percent when opaque and in the clear state the window admits light equivalent to a traditional window environment.

At the core of the iShade technology is a suspended particle device light-control film laminated between thin, shatterproof plastic. A light electrical current passed through the film renders it clear in varying degrees, depending on the voltage applied. With no electrical current, the window returns to its opaque state.
