Sky Hope Network has been formed by five industry professionals to offer business aviation support in emergencies. Founder Robin Eissler, vice president of Jet Quest, was involved in the Corporate Aviation Responding to Emergencies (Care) relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the earthquake in Haiti early this year. She said the nonprofit organization’s mission is to “use the power of business aviation to solve problems during emergencies and urgent situations.”
Sky Hope will coordinate business aviation relief flights during small- and large-scale disasters; provide coordination and referrals of flight requests for urgent or emergency situations through its aircraft network or by working with other flight charity organizations; and offer emergency assistance, both flight and non-flight related, for people in the business aviation community.
