Brad Hatt resigned from his position as senior v-p of sales at Hawker Beechcraft. The Wichita airframer has announced several other changes to its executive management team. Richard Emery, most recently a v-p of sales at Gulfstream, has been appointed president of its Americas jet sales division. Justin Firestone, previously CEO of private jet card provider Asia Jet, was named president of its Asia-Pacific sales division. Keith Nadolski was tapped as president of Americas turboprop and piston aircraft sales; before this appointment he was Gulfstream’s division v-p for eastern North American aircraft sales. Sean McGeough was promoted from v-p of international sales to president of Europe, Middle East and Africa sales. And Tariq “Ted” Farid, previously v-p of international dealer sales and marketing, has been named senior v-p for international sales.

Goodrich has promoted Marc Duvall from vice president and general manager of its aerostructures business to president. He succeeds Greg Peters, who began a new assignment leading the corporation’s operational excellence efforts.

Gulfstream has announced several staff changes. Dan Nale has been promoted from v-p of mid-cabin programs to v-p of advanced aircraft programs, a new department. He was succeeded by Stan Dixon, previously director of mid-cabin programs. The airframer also promoted Dick Johnson from v-p of engineering to the new position of v-p/chief scientist. He was replaced by Tim Farley, formerly director of project engineering. Florian Thiele was named senior regional sales manager of product support sales, for parts of Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Most recently, he was manager of technical services for Jet Aviation Business Jets in Zurich. The Savannah-based company also promoted Jeff Hill from European regional sales manager of product support sales to director of international product support sales. James Liang, formerly a senior avionics technician in the company’s Long Beach, Calif. service center, has been chosen as international distribution manager of parts and materials in Asia, while Jensen Saw has joined the OEM (from GD sister company Jet Aviation) as a field service representative serving China and the surrounding areas. The company also announced the movement of Jeff Toline from general manager of General Dynamics Aviation Services Minneapolis to director of service at Gulfstream’s Appleton, Wis. center. Company president Joe Lombardo has been named to the board of directors of the Corporate Angel Network.

Don Berlin, v-p and member of the board of directors for Tucson, Ariz.-based Universal Avionics Systems, has retired after 28 years with the company. He will remain with the firm as a consultant.

Bell Helicopter has promoted Barry Kohler from v-p of commercial programs to president of Bell Helicopter Canada. He succeeds Eric Cardinali, who has been named senior v-p of integrated supply chain for Textron sister company Cessna.

Cessna Aircraft
has tapped Ron Alberti, formerly senior v-p of integrated supply chain, to assume a new role responsible for the transitioning of work to the company’s facility in Mexico. CFO Mike Shonka has retired and was succeeded by Eric Salander, formerly executive director of financial planning and analysis at parent company Textron.

AOPA has restructured its government affairs division. Craig Spence, previously with the Department of Homeland Security, will head the newly created operations and international affairs department, while Heidi Williams will expand her role as senior director for airspace and modernization. The association also announced that Robert Hackman, previously manager of aviation services, has been promoted to
v-p to head the redesigned regulatory affairs department.

John Schmatz has been named president of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Holland Sheltair Aviation Group, and Daniel Walsh, most recently v-p for aviation at Truman Arnold’s Tac Air, has been appointed COO for the company’s FBO division. Michael Kolbert was promoted from comptroller to CFO, and Todd Anderson, previously director of business development, was chosen as the group’s v-p of Florida aviation real estate.

Kevin Brown, formerly president and COO at San Antonio-based aviation services provider M7 Aerospace, is now president and CEO.

1st Source Bank has promoted Eduardo Ferreira from assistant v-p to v-p of its aircraft financing division.

David Savile, CEO of aviation services provider Air Partner, will resign at the end of the month after 27 years with the firm. Mark Briffa, currently COO, will succeed him as chief executive.

Sabreliner has named Walt Sirmans, previously v-p of aerostructures programs at GKN Aerospace, to the newly created position of COO. The Missouri-based aviation services provider also tapped John White, most recently with Crane Merchandizing Systems, as v-p of human resources.

Bob Fitzpatrick has been appointed president of Delaware MRO provider Summit Aviation, and senior v-p for government and military business with parent company Greenwich AeroGroup. Previously, he was Bell Helicopter’s senior v-p of business development and commercial programs.

Carsten Fimm was chosen as v-p of sales and marketing at Stuttgart, Germany-based DC Aviation. Previously he was a managing director of business development for Jet Aviation.

Corona, Calif.-based Circor Aerospace has selected Don Stinnett as director of materials. Most recently he was general manager at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics.

Cincinnati-based industry auditor Argus has appointed Ryan Kahl to the newly created position of international sales manager.

Cablevision Systems has promoted Philip Prosseda from chief fixed wing pilot at its CSC Transport subsidiary to the company’s director of aviation.

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association has named former Kansas State University flight instructor Kathryn Fraser its manager of operations.

Wendy Burton has joined Wayfarer Aviation as its director of industry charter. Previously she was director of wholesale relations with Solairus Aviation. The Rye Brook, N.Y.-based company also named Dan Walsh its chief pilot.

Gilles Poilvet has been promoted from director of procurement and external supply chain to v-p of programs for Safran engine nacelle subsidiary Aircelle.
 
Gas turbine repair specialist Chromalloy has promoted Chad Seifert from director of operations and acting general manager at its Arizona facility to general manager of the Phoenix gas turbine engine service and remanufacturing center.
 
Jet Support Services announced two management additions. Raymond Santa, most recently MD Helicopter’s international sales director for Latin America, was named director of business development for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean; Robert Wilke, previously a consultant for Triax Partners, was chosen as business development director for the Middle East and Africa.

Joanna Basile, previously part of Atlantic Aviation’s sales and marketing division, has been appointed JetSuite’s sales manager for the Las Vegas region.

Kaman Aerospace has made several changes in its helicopter division. Tim Bates, formerly director of operations, has been named general manager of its blade center of excellence and subcontract product group. Bob Manaskie, who previously served as manager of SH-2 programs, has been named general manager of the helicopter aftermarket group, and John Shelanskas has been named acting director of the operations support organization.

European component manufacturer Lenze has named Chuck Edwards president of its Americas operations, including Lenze-AC Tech. 

Bill Rohde, formerly chief of maintenance at Eaton, has joined San Diego-based FBO Crownair Aviation as director of maintenance.

International Communications Group has named Jo Kremsreiter western region sales director for its general aviation aeronautical communications systems and solutions. He most recently served as U.S. sales manager for Iridium’s special use application products.

Mike Kolman, previously a regional sales manager with Embraer Corporate Aircraft, has joined Aurora, Colo.-based Premier Jet Aviation as sales director.

Addison, Texas-based King Aerospace has hired Gary Hodak as director of technical services. He served previously as director of avionics at Associated Air Center.

Final Flight

Dave Richardson, 48, a line service manager at Million Air’s Toronto facility, died January 17. Richardson was a fixture at Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport for more than 25 years, and his passion for aviation and great people skills made him a well known and respected member of the airport community.
