Aviation International News has once again been named the world’s top airshow daily publication in the annual Aerospace Journalist of the Year awards.
This year, the group was honored by the World Leadership Forum for its daily editions at the new Middle East Business Aviation show held in Dubai in November 2008. Edited by Charles Alcock, AIN’s international show dailies have also previously won AJOYA awards for coverage of the Paris and Farnborough airshows. AIN also has been honored for its pioneering Web television service, AINtv.
Another winner in the AJOYA awards was Robert Mark, for his article “Defending Your Jet,” published in AIN’s sister publication Business Jet Traveler. It won the Best Business Aircraft category and dealt with the fallout from the controversy surrounding the use of business aircraft by U.S. automaker executives flying to Washington to request federal support.
Other AIN reporters shortlisted for this year’s AJOYA awards were David Lombardo (Breaking News and Safety categories), Jennifer Harrington (Strategy & Financial and Systems & Technology categories) and Mark Huber (Business Aircraft category).
