Hundley is New M7 Aerospace President and CEO

J.R. “Rick” Hundley has been named president and CEO of San Antonio-based M7 Aerospace, succeeding Ron Frederick, who is retiring in December. Hundley previously was a senior executive at consulting firm Business Strategies International, aerospace manufacturing and service organization Safran USA, Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics. Hundley’s more than 25 years of aerospace experience include strategic sales and marketing, manufacturing, finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, procurement, logistics, public affairs as well as rotary- and fixed-wing aerostructures, aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul and logistics support for commercial and military aircraft. That experience fits with M7’s five business units, which include Department of Defense aircraft logistics support contracting, aerostructures, manufacturing, maintenance, parts and service support, and engineering services. M7 acquired the assets of Fairchild Aircraft in December 2002 and now employs nearly 500 people worldwide, with more than 300 at the 426,000-sq-ft complex in San Antonio.
