CAE has taken orders for four full-flight simulators worth more than $50 million at list prices and signed a military training support service contract with Australia that is valued at over $77 million.
Bombardier, British Airways, Embraer and Etihad Airways have ordered 7000 Series sims representing, respectively, the Bombardier Global Express, Airbus A320, Embraer 170/190 and Boeing 777-300ER. The contract for the Etihad simulator, which will be accompanied by a CAE Simfinity integrated procedures trainer, was signed here at the show yesterday by Etihad Airways executive vice president of finance James Rigney.
British Airways will install its new simulator at its Heathrow training center while Embraer’s device will be used for training in Europe at a site that has yet to be identified. The Global Express simulator, the first to feature Bombardier’s new Global Vision flightdeck, will be installed in Montreal.
