Bombardier Flexjet, the 10-year-old U.S.-based fractional business jet arm of Canadian manufacturer Bombardier, last month announced it would begin operations in the OEM’s homeland. Flexjet Canada has started operations with three Canadian-registered aircraft–two Learjet 45s and a Challenger 604–formerly in the Bombardier corporate fleet and 10 Montreal- based pilots.

The new service will enable Flexjet to offer an expanded Canadian travel product, including–for the first time–travel between locations within Canada for owners based there. In addition to providing point-to-point travel within Canada, Flexjet will use the new capacity to serve existing owners more efficiently who travel between Canada and the U.S.

“We now have the ability to offer Flexjet owners travel within Canada, which represents a tre-mendous opportunity to expand our services there and introduce more people to the outstanding Flexjet travel experience,” said Flexjet vice president Sylvain Lévesque. “Flexjet is the first fractional provider to offer Canadian-based aircraft.”
