Corporate Jet Services, parent company of UK executive charter operator Club 328, is close to acquiring the Myrtle Beach, S.C. aircraft maintenance facilities of bankrupt Dornier 328 regional jet maker AvCraft Aerospace.

According to a spokesperson for the company, which last December acquired AvCraft’s European assets and several 328Jet airframes, the deal will likely be completed by next month.

The new owner is operating the AvCraft assets as a support organization for existing Dornier 328 operators under the name 328 Support Services. The Myrtle Beach facilities would allow it to better serve the North American market, which accounts for almost two-thirds of the 230 Dornier 328Jets still in service.

The company also has support capability at the former AvCraft factory at Oberpfaffenhofen Airport near Munich, Germany, and at Club 328’s base at Southampton Airport in southern England.
