Jeddah-based aircraft management group Aviation Horizons has leased Comlux’s Boeing BBJ767-200ER, affectionately known throughout the industry as the ‘SkyLady.’ Under Saudi Arabia's Part 121 rules, the company is categorized as a "special unscheduled" operator.
“We have added a Comlux aircraft, the Boeing 767 on wet lease,” the Saudi operator's CEO, Mohammed Bokhari, told AIN on the sidelines the MEBAA Show. “It is a VVIP aircraft. It will have the capability of flying both within and outside the country. Most of Comlux's business is in that aircraft.”<o:p></o:p>
Operated on Comlux's Aruba air operator certificate, the aircraft was built in 2001 and fully refurbished in 2020. It can carry 51 passengers: seven in VVIP, 15 executive nad 29 guests.<o:p></o:p>
“A lot of families would love to have that aircraft on charter because of the size,” he said. “We agreed to sign a wet-lease contract where I can facilitate [Comlux's] existence inside [Saudi Arabia]. <o:p></o:p>
“We still are working in on smaller regional jets, including Hawkers, LearJets, and so on. We're working with several different companies to try to bring them in.”<o:p></o:p>
