A network of operators will provide flights in a fleet of VoltAero's Cassio hybrid-electric aircraft for customers who will acquire a 20 percent stake to share access to between 800 and 1,000 flight hours per year. Nuno Taborda
 

MagniX appointed Nuno Taborda as its new chief executive in May 2022, succeeding Roei Ganzarski, who left the company earlier this year. Taborda is a former senior executive with aircraft engine maker Rolls-Royce and most recently served as the aircraft engine maker’s senior vice president for production programs. In this role, he was responsible for all production of the manufacturer’s business aircraft engines, including the latest Pearl turbofans. He has a PhD in aerodynamics from Cranfield University and an executive MBA from the Henley Business School.

Joby Aviation has relaunched the annual Elevate Summit, which was previously staged by Uber, with a 2022 gathering of advanced air mobility experts to be held on October 12 and 13 in Brooklyn, New York. The eVTOL aircraft developer says the summit will focus on how the “aerial ridesharing ecosystem” can be established with discussions between aircraft manufacturers, supply-chain companies, investors, city officials, and real estate developers.
