Through a business combination with special purpose acquisition company Tuscan Holdings, it aims to raise around $467 million.

Joby Aviation's founder and CEO JoeBen Bevirt told financial analysts that reported changes to the FAA's regulations for approving eVTOL aircraft and how they are operated will not delay anticipated service entry in 2024. Boston-based Regent has drawn a commitment from Hawaiian Airlines to invest in and support the initial design of its 100-passenger all-electric seaglider known as the Monarch. With the equity investment, Hawaiian Airlines becomes Regent’s first U.S.-based design partner for the Monarch, which Regent projects will enter commercial service by 2028.

Featured Program

The Butterly is an all-electric eVTOL aircraft intended to carry four passengers with a pilot. The project was begun by experienced aerospace group Karem Aircraft, which in January 2020 established Overair, Inc. as a subsidiary to run the program with financial backing from South Korean industrial group Hanwha.

Alexander Oelling has been Volocopter's chief digital officer since October 2020, when he joined the eVTOL aircraft developer from Gamers Academy. He had previously served as chief technology officer for publishing company Looping House. In September 2013, he founded digital building management specialist Sensorberg. He is a graduate of Germany's Technische Universitat Ilmenau.
