Peggy A. Cornell is the deputy manager of NASA’s Commercial Supersonic Technology project at the agency's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland. As part of NASA's Quesst team, she is leading efforts to make quiet supersonic air travel over land feasible. She has also been involved with NASA's Revolutionary Vertical Lift Technology project, serving as the manager of its eVTOL propulsion subproject, and has worked with NASA's experimental X-57 electric airplane. Before joining NASA in 2005, Cornell was a jet engine technician for the U.S. Air Force, where she worked on the KC-135 Stratotanker. She holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering and a bachelor's degree in physics, both from Cleveland State University.
